To provide its core functionality, the Extension requires you to input certain authentication details:
- Jira API Token
- Clockify API Key
- Email address associated with your Jira account.
- Local Storage Only: All credentials are stored strictly locally on your device using the Google Chrome extension storage API (
chrome.storage.sync).
- No Developer Access: We (the developers of the Extension) do not have access to your API keys, email address, or any task/time-tracking data.
- No External Servers: The Extension does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or authentication data on any external servers owned or operated by us.
The data you provide is used solely for the intended functionality of the Extension:
- To authenticate and establish a secure, direct connection between your browser and the official Atlassian/Jira APIs and Clockify APIs.
- To securely synchronize time entries recorded in Clockify onto your designated Jira tasks using the provided API tokens.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information or API keys with any third parties.
- Your data is never used for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes.
- Communication occurs exclusively between your local browser and the official third-party services (Jira and Clockify) you have authorized.

You retain 100% control over your data at all times. You can delete or clear your stored API keys and email address at any time by:
- Using the “Adatok törlése” (Clear Data) button within the Extension
- Removing or uninstalling the Extension from your browser (e.g., Google Chrome), which will automatically erase all associated locally stored data.
